Originally from Belarus and shaped by years in New York, Alya Kazakevich creates from her garden studio at MontRose, Marseille. Working with vegetable-tanned leather, ceramics, she makes furniture and objects by hand, one piece at a time. Each piece is slowly hand-dyed and hand-stitched using traditional techniques. From sculptural hanging chairs and chaise-longues to leather bags, lamps, and ceramic objects, every creation is conceived as a unique collectible piece—made one at a time and designed to age beautifully and tell its own story.
